My artwork is inspired by nature elements such as water, fire, wind (air), and earth. Especially the wind I know from four corners of the Southwest area gives me many inspiring moments, which usually happens in the most spontaneous way.

I had been painting in oil since I was a child. In painting, color values a lot for me. As I pursuing my curiosity, I started to see interesting shapes in my paintings. And those shapes popped out of the canvases and started to form differently by their own. Those became the wood collages and mixed media. Re-assembling the shapes and colors I see in the nature interested me. In a way, it tells more of what I felt in the scene. So I have been making these collage relieve.

I am fascinated with the old masters in the Renaissance and Baroque area. The Contrapposto figures create movements and emotions in artwork. When I was a student, I drew those pieces at the Metropolitan museum every weekend, and at Academia or Villa Borghese whenever I visited there. After that, one of the things I inherited from them was the movement that contrapposto creates
and its emotion.
