Natsuko Matsumura

Making artwork is the process of knowing myself and connecting myself with other people and the world. The connection of the reality, feelings, and wondering of imagination/ dream is a core for my artistic practice. I’d like to make art that shows my sentiment and sensitive feelings. Feelings that you can’t explain by words are very important to me. I believe that my feelings, thoughts, and energies are conveyed in my artwork through long process of printmaking. Even though the images came from my imagination or through my camera lens, in my artwork, there is a quiet emotion and sensitive feeling which is nostalgic and a little jaded but yearning for something.
