Yoshiko Ikeda

In our modern society, what is considered “art” is now incomprehensible and unappealing in order to get reactions from the audience. Many artworks abandoned aesthetic quality and now they are uncomfortable to look at.

In my belief, art must be beautiful and comfortable to our eyes. The goal of my work is to regain the aesthetic beauty once more and reach sublime beauty little by little.

It doesn't matter realism or abstract.
